Two arrested for stealing truck, ATVs and other items

Two people were arrested this week in connection to a house burglary that occurred in Lafayette County.

On Dec. 26, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call regarding several items being stolen from 181 County Road 317. Items reported stolen included a Ford F250 pickup, two ATV side by sides and several items located inside the residence.

Investigators began working the case and on Dec. 31 arrested Misty Oliphant, 32, of Oxford, and Austin Vance, 28, of Grenada, for Burglary and Grand Larceny. More arrests are expected, according to the sheriff’s department.

No bonds have been set at this time and the two are currently at the Lafayette County Detention Center.
